These paintings have aesthetic characteristics of a construction site. They show a stage in construction at which reinforcement bars hold the brick wall which is far more important than the aesthetic form. It does not matter whether it looks beautiful. As long as „the walls stand straight“, it is good enough. The subject was not premeditated, although it is likely that it pre-existed as an unconscious thought form which slowly surfaced during the creative process.

While working on canvas, intuition slowly makes room for thinking and buds of rational associations appear. This newfound idea could inspire further painting and give direction.

Death grips is a body of work consisting of large scale abstract paintings. It is characterized by muddy background, grey forms and reoccurring black, gothic, floral shapes.

Large scale paintings from this series were exhibited in the Reflektor gallery in Uzice, Serbia, in 2020. The Reflektor gallery was founded by the Uzice Association of Visual Artists in the premises of the old abandoned military building in 2017.
