The visual raw material for my current art research goes back to childhood. Think plastic toy palettes, Saturday morning cartoons, and arcade games from the 90s and early 2000s—the core iconography of Spooky Business. Talking skulls, glowing slime, and tentacles creeping out of dark corners. It's kid-gothic. I treat each canvas as an object, shaping its contours to match the painted motifs. Life's a spooky business.
